I ordered 6 of these in one swoop, a decision I regret since they are not even close to the color advertised or what it looks like in the photo's. They are BEIGE, a light beige but definitely beige under incandescent lighting (which is what most people have in their homes). They are at least 5 shades darker than cream and have a cooler almost greenish cast to them. I have plenty of other cream/ivory/off-white furniture in my home to compare them to.

I decided to keep them anyway because it is too much of a pain to return 6 chairs. Also, since I put them together, I got a good look at how they are upholstered and thankfully I think it will be fairly easy for me to re-upholster them at some point (I have done this many times). The construction is fine. The seat is very stiff and thick and will probably hold up for a long time, it's not that comfortable, though I wouldn't call it uncomfortable either.
